Battle of Haldighati
In 1576, Mughal forces commanded by Man Singh I of Amber fought the army of Maharana Pratap of Mewar at Haldighati. The Mughal side held the field after the battle, but Maharana Pratap survived and continued resistance, later recovering substantial parts of western Mewar.
