Coronation of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj
On 6 June 1674, Shivaji was formally crowned at Raigad, giving royal and ritual expression to the sovereignty he had built through decades of warfare and state formation against the Bijapur Sultanate, local rivals and the Mughal Empire.
