Alipore Bomb Case
After Khudiram Bose and Prafulla Chaki attempted to assassinate magistrate Douglas Kingsford at Muzaffarpur in April 1908, police raids in Calcutta uncovered a revolutionary network associated with Anushilan Samiti. Aurobindo Ghose, Barindra Kumar Ghose and numerous others were tried in the Alipore Bomb Case from 1908 to 1909; Aurobindo was acquitted, while Barindra and several others were convicted.
