₹1 Lakh Crore Research, Development and Innovation Scheme Is Launched

On 3 November 2025, the Government of India formally launched the Research, Development and Innovation Scheme with an outlay of ₹1 lakh crore over six years. The scheme was designed to expand private-sector investment in research and commercialisation across strategic and sunrise technologies through long-term, low-cost financing and risk capital. It operates through a special-purpose fund within the Anusandhan National Research Foundation and moved into project financing during 2026.
