Article 370 Is Made Inoperative and Jammu and Kashmir Is Reorganised
In August 2019, the President issued constitutional orders applying the full Constitution of India to Jammu and Kashmir, and a declaration under Article 370(3) made the article's provisions inoperative. Parliament also passed the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Act, which took effect on 31 October 2019 and divided the former state into the Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
