Caste Enumeration Is Approved for the Upcoming Census

On 30 April 2025, the Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs decided that caste enumeration would be included in the upcoming national Census. The decision placed caste enumeration within the main Census exercise rather than in a separate survey.
