Pahalgam Terror Attack
On 22 April 2025, gunmen attacked tourists near Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir, killing 26 people, including 25 Indian citizens and one Nepali citizen. The attack triggered a major security and diplomatic crisis and was followed in May by India's Operation Sindoor and a wider India–Pakistan military confrontation.
