New Delhi Declaration on AI Impact Is Adopted at the India AI Impact Summit

In February 2026, India hosted the AI Impact Summit in New Delhi, where participating governments and international organisations adopted the New Delhi Declaration on AI Impact. By the close of the endorsement process, 92 countries and international organisations had backed the declaration, which set out voluntary principles for international cooperation on AI across areas including access, trustworthiness, energy efficiency, human capital, science and economic development. The summit also produced frontier-model commitments and other multilateral initiatives, and India joined the Pax Silica coalition on strategic technology and silicon-supply-chain cooperation.
